The monthly meeting of the Stanton Chamber of Commerce was held on Monday, December 6, 2010, at Susie’s Kitchen.
The meeting was called to order by Vice President Katie Hart.

A McDonald: $4,694

K Requist: Reported on water project and water rate increase will be applied in the Spring. Discussed dog ordinance issue.
D Burke: No report given
Kutzli: Dave Hart will become new fire chief as Kutzli is retiring from chief position.
Child Resource Center
Hart: A letter has been sent out to residents in Stanton that is asking for pledges/donations to help maintain the SCRC budget. They will also be applying for a grant for the storm shelter.
D. Rossander: Santa is coming to town!!
A McDonald: No report given.
H Clark: There are two apartments that are vacant.
P Warder: There will be a community Christmas program on December 15 and Christmas caroling on December 19.
Shared Operation Christmas Child Program with the chamber.
E. Kutzli: Sunday School program scheduled for December 19. Christmas Eve service time change to 9:30 p.m.
G. Requist: $2,500 grants went towards Stanton community.
Montgomery County Memorial Hospital

M Kennon: Shared that gift shop will be open a few weekends in December.

Discussed 2011 officers. Katie Hart will be President. Garnet Requist was voted to be Treasurer for 2011. Secretary and Vice President positions were not filled. Motion by Brian Hopf and second by Kirk Requist to accept nomination for Treasurer and discuss the two positions in January meeting.
Santa Lucia Update
Motion by Ivan, second by Brian to continue with the chamber bucks distribution for lighting and Santa Lucia. 30 ($10), 1 ($25), 1 ($15), 1 ($10), all in favor motion passed. Ashley McDonald will judge lights.
Next Chamber meeting will be at Susie’s Kitchen on Monday, January 3 at 7:00 p.m.
